The Fields Medal

The Fields Medal, considered the Nobel Prize for Teaching, in 2014 was awarded to Maryam Mirzakhani for his research on Complex geometry and dynamic systems.

His story

Born in 1977, Mirzakhani had already distinguished himself in youth winning two gold medals at the Olympic Games of Mature. In 2004 he obtained a Phd at Harvard and then began teaching at Stanford.

In 2015 the Mateureka Museum He invited her, as the first woman to win the Fields medal after 52 men, to the opening of the exhibition on Hypatia, the first woman involved in the history of which we have reasonable information documented.
